DPS and encounter mechanics swing back and forth. Have fun stressing about it, I guess. Personally I’ll just chill here working on my own stuff and taking a bit of Personal Pride ™ in the non-dps-related high-skillcap stuff I do, like timely combat rezzes/Innervates. And shut the hell up to anyone that says “Class X brings no utility”. L2P and learn buffs/debuffs and class synergies like Misdirection/Hysteria/Tricks etc.

Ok. Riddle me this…? WTF does my 4.5k avg DPS drop to 1.5k or less in ICC. I am Blood DPS DK, 51/0/20. My Gear Score is like 2906 according to WOW-Heros and 5k+ by GS addon. I use standard rotation, IT, PS, HS, HS, DC, & DRW as a dump. (Think thats it. I’m at work and may not remeber it by heart). I have like 19 Bold Cardinal Rubies for strength and maybe 3 Precise Cardinal Runbies for Expertise). And I DON”T want to go unholy. I tried it on my other Dual Spec and went to 2.5 from my otherwise 4k average. My Toon’s name is JerriKoh (From the IronMan movier) and I’m on Terenas Realm. Feel Free to critique and Thank You in advance for your time.

  Rotations
  
  The GoD and GoDD builds have differing rotations, and in order to make the most out of each build, it is important that you use the correct rotation
  
  For both rotations, you will be able to dump 2 Death Coils at one break, and then one at the other. This depends on whether you start a fight with RP or not. It is not important where a particular phase falls, and so we’ll just represent it with -Dump-.

  Beginning with Dark Death as it is the easier of the two. On a pull to minimize your wasted GCDs during your dump phase you can cast HoW, and raise your Ghoul.

  The GoD rotation is made up of two distinct parts. There is your Open Phase (1), and then the repeated phase (2). You begin with the (1) rotation to set up your diseases, and then repeat two until your diseases fall of some how, or the enemy dies
  
  (1) IT-PS-HS-HS-DS -Dump- DS-HS-HS-HS-Pest -Dump-
  (2) HS-HS-HS-HS-DS -Dump- DS-HS-HS-HS-Pest
  
  5. I loaded your armory into Askmrrobot and ran 10 000 simulations at 300sec per run with 100 latency and 200 reaction time, 1500 missile travel time, 50 GCD lag, full 25p raid buffs, auto rotation (no clue about DK rotations as I mentioned above) which at a quick glance seems to be sub-optimal compared to the generally more reliable theorycrafting from EJ.
  
  Result: 7999.5 (margin of error 0.25) dps
  
  Keep in mind: single-target, static fight simulation with no running in/out, Hysteria on yourself (which may or may not be optimal for the raid), and no restrictions on skill/ability-use, no target switches.
  
  So, for some real learning opportunities you can look for some ICC blood dps dk videos and compare how you do things.

  At least one of those is Blood. I’m fairly sure you can learn more from the EJ thread and maybe some other forums/video guides/wowwiki. Google is your friend.
  
  Now, the above is what I could find knowing not very much at all about your class or spec in about 15min of Google usage. If you’re really concerned with raising your dps in ICC I strongly suggest you spend a day or two researching, reading and learning. But most people aren’t interested in “working” on getting better at playing a game. YMMV. Enjoy.
